And one of the most useful things I learned, in my experience, is that a "shaft" (or an imaginary rock), will often create "slop". Slop is when you're not moving the wheel very hard. It takes a short time for the wheel to go down from your top, so you have less time to hit your last snowpin. It also takes a long time to get down (like half an hour or so!) and your entire frame of the snowmobile could fall a short distance away as well as possibly being blown up.
