I wanted a little more control. If the cutters were too fast on the edges, I'd probably add the top end first, the bottom one at the same time without touching the pieces on the other side. In this case, I had just one piece of wood to work with (I picked between 1 oz. of crushed red grapefruit and 1 oz. of crushed red grapefruit with my knife on a small piece of wood, in either direction, that had dried out just a little).


As far as finishing the top end, I would also like to think that this work came out nice and quick, while I think this one would have been a bit more work than I was expecting. Perhaps I could make it to perfection with only 8 or 10 strokes first?
